“Green Acres” star Frank Cady died Friday at his home in Wilsonville, Ore. He was 96.
Catherine Turk, Cady’s daughter, confirmed his death to The Los Angeles Times. The cause of death wasn’t released.
Cady was best known for playing Sam Drucker, general store proprietor in Hooterville, on the classic sitcom “Green Acres” from 1965 to 1971.
Cady played Drucker for the entire run of “Green Acres” on CBS, from 1965 to 1971, when it was canceled.
Cady’s wife, Shirley, passed away in 2008. The couple moved to Oregon in the 1990s and were the parents of two children — daughter Catherine and son Steven.
